Got both, and the electric impact, too.

The ratchet is a butterfly type... haven't used it in 12 years,
but it worked back then.

Jeep rides nice & straight...guess I won't worry about it. Thanks, Tom (and Steve)!

Did you do the cutting or did you make someone else do it?

I did it. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a Chicago Tools "body saw" and that thing is a piece of crap. I've gone through 8 blades just to cut one side. I need to go back and get a couple more spare boxes of blades. But basically the louvers are a pita getting them to mount flush in the hood. I'm using screws with washer's & "Black Jack" roof cement.

I'll post pics when I'm done.

Well I managed to install both hood louvers.
Image

The second one went much easier than the first. I only used 3 blades in the "body saw". I'm going to have the hood repainted and I need some detail work done to the louvers. I'm thinking I may have them painted Jeep black to match the hood.

Oh yeah, someone really needs to take this "body saw" away from me before I start looking for more places to cut on the KJ.

that looks great!

and yea, my fender flairs were from the back yard pit

and the idea of painting the louvers the same black tone would be a lot more professional looking if ya kno wat i mean
