Does someone nearby have a magnetic mount CB antenna I might borrow for when we go to Moab in May? I don't know that I'll have the time to relocate my Firestik before we go - far too much going on right now. :banghead:

I've got an extra K40 lying around somewhere.
Have the whip... just need to locate the mount. :banghead:
You're welcome to it.

That would be great, Brad. Let me know if/when you find it and I'll come get it from you.

Mine works enough for closer transmission, but we're talking some longer distances between vehicles out there. I'd like to have my bases covered just in case.

Thanks! :D

Did we ever tune your antenna??
I can always give that a try first.
I have plenty of washers, screws, etc. to tighten up your bracket for your Firestik.

We can try that before swapping antennas.
If it doesn't work, pop the K40 on the roof....

No, we didn't. We didn't bother because everything was loose.

The screws are stripped, and require me to cut them out to remove the bracket. That's why, for now, I'm looking for the quick/easy way at least for the time that we're out west. I'll fix it properly once I have the time when we get back.

I've got a brand new high speed cutting wheel.

If I can't find it, I'll just pull the one in my Libby for you to use. :pepper:  :pepper:

I can do a quick check on the Firestik, as I'll need to tune the K40 anyway.
Either way, we'll get you set for Moab. :JEEPIN: :JEEPIN: :JEEPIN:

Just let me know what's best for you.
I only need a couple hours notice to get everything ready.

Tuning only takes a few minutes.

Willy.... same goes for you.
Just let me know when you can stop by, & we'll get you set up.

Got my "A" permit yesterday...yeah, look out Chicago. :grim:

Coming home from school tonight some bozo needed to use my brakes to stop. :furious:
I stopped for traffic in front of me, and so did the guy behind me.
Too bad the 23 yr old FEMALE driver in her daddy's Yukon didn't stop in time behind him.
Shoved him up under my spare. Shredded the bottom of my tire cover
as his hood was pushed about 1 & 1/2 feet under the spare.
Back door opens, as does the glass. No misalignment of anything, no airbag went off.
Not even a scratch in the bumper, only hit me at about 5 mph.

Had a bit of scare the last two days, puddles of water under the Jeep where ever I parked. No smell no color, no evidence under the hood. Today I drove home from work and again noticed the dripping water under the Jeep.

Opened the hood and as I reach to the firewall to see if the coolant reservoir was leeking, I put my hand on the aluminum A/C pipe across the top of the fan shroud and just about burned myself. Felt the outgoing pipe and it was cold  I haven't used the A/C since last summer, and control is not in defrost setting. Turns out LED on the AC switch is burned out, its been ON for the last week, haven't really notice except the crappy fuel milelage, as the temp setting was on mid dial.

Stopping by the Amsoil warehouse tomorrow to pick up some Amsoil Ea Air Filters. Normal retail is $38. Not sure what my cost is but it is lower, and my cost is your cost. If I pick up a case of 6 the price each drops $3. Currently grabbing three. Post up if you want one.

Aaron, if you need a 6th then put me down to save everyone some money, I get dealer prices so if someone else wants in then they can have my spot.
