Thought I would start a thread where we can talk about anything local. From lift parties, to Jeep and non Jeep related experiences, to outright lies. So grab your favorite brew and keep us entertained. Not to mention informed.

Saving the shekels for the Frankenlift. $1000 (shipped)
Halfway there, but then I think about Supersliders, $360 & ship,
and Als Upper A-arms, $390 & ship.

I may have to sell my body on the street.

I've got a whole list of maintenance this spring, right after I make my last payment next month.

Change Diff fluid front and back
Change xfer case fluid
Fuel Filter Change
Change Coolant - 4 years is too long, time for fresh stuff.
Brakes - 70k its probably time for rotors all around and full system flush
Power Steering flush - again I don't know what the service interval is, but might as well do that as well
Remove Rear Bumper and repaint - POR15
While I'm at it. Fix the fuel sender gauge that hasn't been right since I installed the lift pump.
New Battery - Original is 4 years old. Not sure how much longer I want to trust this one.
About 1500 miles to an oil change.
After I get all that done, I can install the TJM front bumper I just bought. :D

I had wanted to drop the rock rails this weekend to start prepping them for the herculiner. Dang storms! Hopefully that will get done sometime this week - I'd love to have them done before we head up to Manistee N.F. in a couple of weeks.
Also need to get a few other things done before we head out to Moab later this year: tranny skid, re-wire cb and whatever else comes up between now & then.

(Love the "Garage" idea, oddball!)

You should have gone into the sales area and demanded to see the dealership's General Manager. Letting him know your displeasure with this latest experience as well as informing him of past experiences, including your purchase of this service would have been delt with properly. Trust me, if the GM walked under your Jeep on the rack and saw for himself that the skid did not need to be dropped, there would have been hell to pay (behind closed doors) for the Service Manager from the GM.

WOW! Remind me to stay on Jayme's good side! 8)
Seriously, though that really stinks. I think oddball has the right idea - no GM would (or should) tolerate hs staff screwing around and wasting everyone's time by not doing a job right.

did you check the hardware and make sure the dealer put the skid back on correctly?

Mine deep sixed by 40%. Good thing I have 15 more years of lovely
work atmosphere till I can retire. Who am I trying to fool?
I'll probably be working till the day I call in sick for dropping dead in my tracks.

My employer currently ran a ad for a afternoon scale master. They included "great pay and benefits". Over 1,200 people applied.

I love my Renny - but sometimes I really love it...

We were driving home last night when this TJ - bone stock - comes up from behind. As the guy passes us in the right lane, he's practically hanging out the window checking out th KJ! The look on his face said "Dam*! That's a Liberty???" I enjoy the smug satisfaction I get when the Renny makes another Jeep owner feel somehow inadequate.
