My daughter borrowed my camera. I'll get it back tomorrow (Saturday) and post images (most likely) on Sunday.

Not the best images, but you get the idea. For the record, all my decals are "Brushed Silver" in color.

Yes. I am involved in a partnership running that Outlaw Pro Mod. Money is tight this year but we hope to run the car a few times before we sell it. As for your neighbor, I've met him. I am friends with a guy who runs a nitro fuel altered that was driven by Austin Coil's wife. If you don't know who Austin Coil is, he's the Crew Chief of John Force, and also a native of our area. Coil was part owner and tuner in the legendary Chi-town Hustler funny car from the glory days of drag racing. My partner is married to Pat Minick's daughter. Minick drove the Chi-town Hustler funny car.

Got the OK to order a Standard Frankenlift I (as long as it gets installed and doesn't
sit in the garage collecting dust).
I'm guessing it would be advisable to get Als Upper A-arms at the same time
so both can be installed at the same time too. (Why do the work twice).
My question is, are the Als Upper A-arms necessary, will they save me headaches
further on down the road? I'm looking at close to $1500.

http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-Als_Upper_A_ ... y_s-2.aspx

Wifey told me this is the vehicle for the next 6-8 years, so I'm thinking
it's a good investment.

Thats one of those things if you have the extra money OK if not its easy to do it later ( install the arms)
Matter of fact I installed mine (UCAs) without removing the battery just the airbox. Mine's been torn apart so many times trying new things on the lift that its only a few minutes job at most anyways.
I ran my lift for over 70,000 miles and did not have the arms, tires wore great and the arms are still good if that helps any.

keep handin me beer and i'll spend all day turning an impossible to get to bolt 1/64th of a turn at a time until the crap is out

took me like 30 mins to get one of the bolts out of either my friends wrangler or his wifes VW i don't remember which

after about 5 minutes i sent him in the house to get a straw so that i could drink my beer while working with my forehead resting against the rubber piece on the firewall

i have an odd amount of patience for such things

Well today I installed my Firestik mount. The screws you get suck. I used slightly longer / larger (phillips) flathead stainless. Thanks to Jayme for showing me how easy it is to run the coax inside the 'snap-together' KJ interior!

Btw; Jayme I had a hole covered with a black patch behind my RR t/s assbly. I just peeled it back and was able to run the coax into the interior. I had thought you said I'd have to drill a hole? Maybe not, maybe I misunderstood.

Thanks again to yellocoyote & jeepfrog for the bracket mounting tips!

Now all that remains to install is the CB. I bought a Cobra 75 WX ST (tuned & peaked) from a CB shop on ebay stores, and I am thinking I will mount it inside the center console, running the radio/mic out thru the e-brake handle slot? We'll see... Still waiting for the CB to arrive. Maybe tomorrow?

Looks good - glad to see you avoided the minor ding in the tailgate that I got. :D

You might want to replace the bolts that adjust the angle of the antenna with stainless...

Do you plan to run a spring with it?

Yeah that was another factor in my decision to use flathead screws.

I'll have to replace those too with stainless.

I was thinking a spring might be in order here.

I went with the Cobra 75WX ST
