Starting a new thread for this.

Let me know who plans to attend, and what kinds of things you're looking to do - I know Tom has a lift and UCA's to install for sure. That way, maybe we can all collectively get our projects done. We can start as early as 10am, if someone is here by then. Bring whatever tools you think will be useful - we have a fair amount, but not everything. Air tools would be helpful. :D

We'll be grilling - I can provide hamburgers w/fixin's. If you have something else you'd prefer to throw on the grill, bring it along. If everyone wouldn't mind bringing something to share, that would be great too.

We're only a couple of miles from I-90 & Rt. 31 in Elgin. PM me for address.

I might be persuaded to start earlier. Two lifts could take up some time, plus the cooler morning air.

I start work at 6:00 am, so I'm used to getting up early, even on weekends. Early is fine with me.

1. yellocoyote - provide tools/assistance - burgers w/ fixin's
2. oddball - provide assistance - potato salad & pasta salad. (Jewel deli).

I really don't have any personal projects I need to do that day, but I am going to submit a vacation day for the 20th.

Other than iced tea or lemonade, about the only soda "pop" I drink is Dr. Pepper or diet Dr. Pepper (regular diet). In any case, I can also bring soda for several or just myself? Feel free to chime in regarding soda and or if you'd prefer to make either homemade salad I mentioned. Otherwise it's Jewel deli!

Just wanted to throw this out there -- if anyone needs basic auto parts (ie; spark plugs, brake pads, etc), let me know what you're looking for (here in this thread or via PM). I can get you a price now and pick up the parts anytime between now, and that Saturday morning. For the record, I can pick up the parts and pay later too, as long as it's within a week from the day I pick them up. And returns for whatever reason are not a problem.

If you're simply looking to replace your battery in the KJ using the stock tray, get a Interstate battery. In my book they're the best. Google or shop the 'net for prices and places locally to buy.

In case you missed my previous post, I have a SWR meter if you need one to tune your antenna & CB.

Interstate MTP-86. 640 CCA. 85 month warranty.

Otherwise Optima has two models in general, Red top & Yellow top. However if you submit thru the application guide on their web site, they only come up with the Red top for the Jeep Liberty = Group 25, 720 CCA, with only a 36 month warranty.

HOWEVER - According to Optima, if you're into audio and electronics, you want the Yellow top, not the Red top. So you'll either have to search here to see if anyone has found one that fits (someone who has the answer may chime in?) or you will have to figure out some other way which Yellow Top battery will fit your KJ.

my dad used to own a few lift truck dealerships and used optima batteries at one point he said they suck, i would say the only reason for getting one is if you are going on a large incline so it dosnt leak out, but if you going more than a 60 degree incline, you'll have more problems then a battery spill.

And they are SO EXPENSIVE because of their stupid patent on their spiralcell tech.
