Anyone in the Chicago area ever rewired a car ? The CJ needs major wiring help and trying to follow through with the chiltons book and schematics made things worse.

The PO had what I think was painless wiring harness ( that was hack job to begin with ) spliced in with the normal harness and now I'm trying to undo everything and start with a clean slate with a fresh wiring harness.

I'm in way over my head here :? Anyone like to do wiring ?

I'm not in Chicago and I don't like to rewire- but I did

- 67 Camaro - got a harness from Painless wiring.

http://www.painlesswiring.com/

lots of information there too
only real advise I can add - is make sure all of your grounds are good

if it is a painless harness - these are the manuals - there is a CJ replacement harness
