I really need to get that transmission and np242 transfer case installed that has been in by basement since the summer. My reverse slips and now my torque converter is starting to go out when I come to a hard stop I have to wait for it to catch up before it hit's and my trans fluid is full. Was thinking about doing the shift kit and maybe maybe the aps torque converter since everthing is already out. I have never installed a tranny or transfer case before but im pretty handy. I need to get this thing running right before I invest in a lift kit.
Oh yea ive been searching ebay for a fulltime 4x4 shifter to go with the NP242 if anyone can locate one for me let me know thanks guys and gals

neither of those installs are hard, it's more or less a balancing and alignment act with the tranny on 2 jacks and strapped to a board or with a transmission jack

both installs are easier with an extra set of hands

I've got an SWR & power meter I can bring along also.

I may have you look at mine also. It lacks a bit of... something... I suspect a bad ground, but I don't know quite enough to be certain.
