It seems everyone is a little more spread out this year... where do we want to meet for the trail runs?

Some options as best I can recall:

-KOA: not sure how happy they are about the big groups... seems most of our people are here though
-OK RV: I think it's just me staying there ...the people have always been cool with it though
-City Market: fairly central for all the trails...can be cramped though
-Dirt lot at turnoff to HWY 128: plenty of room and place to leave vehicles if some want to ride along with others

Any other places? Thoughts?

I think meeting up at the OK RV Park would be good, we have done it there since day 1. But we should only line up there if someone is staying there. Probably wouldn't be a good idea just to show up there un-announced without someone from the group staying there. I am not sure about KOA, this is my first time there so I don't know. Another place we could line up and meet would be at the Shell Gas Station on the corner of 191 and Spanish Valley, there is plenty of room there.

Last year, I had my small group meet up at the City Market, and I agree it was cramped. Made it easy to run in and grab lunch supplies, though. Met a few characters there as well, such as Dan Mick. Ran into Heather and Quinn with thier club as well.

I like Wally's idea of the Shell station. Seems more condusive to the small group we have this time anyhow.

I didn't even think of the Shell station... want to just call that the official meeting spot?

And it's really not that far from City Market, if you do need to run in for food or something.

I think Wally's talking about the Shell station at the turnoff to OK RV Park... not the one in town by City Market...

If we are gonna run flat iron on monday, i'd say we need to get going around 8 or 8:30. That's a long trail.

The same goes for Triple Whammy. Last year we got off the trail in the dark and had to navigate the sand maze ahead of the shaefer switchbacks in the dark, which was an adventure to say the least.

My buddy and I may get in on Sunday in time to do something short, like Hell's Revenge. If everyone wants to PM me a cell number, I'll put together a list and forward it to everyone listed as attending.
