Gas prices are pretty high here.....about 2.90-2.80 for regular. I don't think I'm going to go out till they go down again, what is everyone elses thoughs?

I'm single and own a Jeep, all I do with my money is put gas and/or better parts on it.Plus right now gas is cheaper than what I was paying in WA by far so I don't mind.

I'll just drive my Honda Del Sol to work and back more. It gets about 30mpg and saves me a ton on my 34 mile a day round trip not to mention the same distance to the nearest store.

I went out and bought an '86 VW GTI that gets about 30-35mpg. As the prices go up, I drive my hoopdy more often. If the prices had stayed low, I would never had bought it.

I'm seriously considering the purchase of a Honda scooter for my daily commute -- at least during warm weather. I drive 12 miles through suburbia every morning and afternoon with no passengers. Why ride at 15 mpg when I could be doing it at 50 mpg? I'd save about $100/month in gas. If I were 5 miles closer, I'd ride my bike. Of course, I'd keep the Jeep for wheeling and hauling, then drive the minivan or crossover (whatever we buy this summer) when all five of us are together.
