so far the electronics on the kk are pretty good especially for unexperienced drivers, but for myself, i don't like the drive by wire as i like to be able to control my throttle while driving

I'm anti-electronics altogether for the most part. I like being able to control my vehicle without a computer saying "hold on let me help *shoves driver out of the way*"

I would rather be in control of my vehicle then a computer.

Think how great it would be with no computer if you wanted to swap a motor or tranny. Look at the problems with the guys that want a V-8 in their Libby.

No ABS,ESP,and all that other junk(not even power seats).I believe it's better to learn how to drive without those techno gizmo's before taking them for granted.

I agree. Except for the power seats and windows. Crank windows are a pain!

I'd take power heated seats, windows, and mirrors anyday. Definately a luxury. :D

I like traction control, especially in 4WD, and ABS most of the time. Could do without drive by wire though.

I certainly agree that people should learn how to drive without it though. Too many people on the roads that are clueless as to what to do if their vehicle starts to slide in any manner.

i love my ESP/ABS. on my last few trips out there are certain situations i would have needed a locker to get through, but i dont have one and my elec controls kicked in and made me go. made me think" locker who needs that?" lol

Uturns on paved roads however, i make sure and turn off the traction controls as they control the throttle and that will get me killed one day

Nope, I don't like gizmos either. I like to drive without extra electronic aids. I do like my power windows though. And my power mirrors too. But nothing else for me thanks. Well, I do have ABS but I don't hate it too much. Now, what the dickens are we going to do when our current vehicles get too old? Everything new will be loaded with electronic things. I'll just enjoy my KJ for now and worry about that when the time comes. :)

I'm all about power convenience features but no TC or such for me thanks. I was subjected one time on a business trip to drive a Ford Focus wagon for a rental. In the dead of winter with very icy highway conditions. Thing had some sort of TC which kept kicking in at inopportune instances making the vehicle feel pretty unstable, thought I was going to die.

NO electronics for me! I want to be totally in control of my vehicle. Once you toss in electronic controls, every evasive or emergency maneuver becomes dangerous becasue you and the vehicle are trying to respond to the situation in different ways. In a split second, what you do and how the computer tries to compensate can be the difference between life and death.
