So how many miles have we made it up to? This will also give an idea of how many CRD owners are actually on this site! 8)

Maybe post a message about the pros and cons of your CRD experience so far...

If above 60k miles, please let us all know.

Ooop's I didn't read your post and figured you were doing a MPG survey. Sorry. 4,000 miles on the CRD so far. Also just woke up from a nap by cat trying to hack up a hair ball, now my head hurts from that sudden burst of energy.

Right now we are at 2966, and had the CRD for a month and bought it with 107 miles on it. By Monday it will have over 4000 miles on it. So far, so good!

I'm at 23,5XX. 1 EGR valve replaced, and that's it.

I'm pretty happy with my CRD.

I am at 18 and change and haven't had my EGR yet, I expect to any moment. I also have run #2 diesel the whole time. I have had a hard shift tsb and the torque converter not unlocking. So I have taken it in for one oil change and one sensor for the transmission. Not the best, and not the worst.

I bought mine in June and have ~6,250 miles. I haven't had anything replaced. My only mishap was when the goofballs at the dealership put 12 quarts of oil in it on the oil chance I had done a couple weeks ago. I've been very happy with my CRD ... the mileage hasn't been perfect, but still better than most cars in its class, and the performance, comfort, drivability is just what I wanted/needed. It's a fine little truck, contrary to the borderline libel printed in the Consumer Reports review.

Flipped 12k today. So far no problems to report. Except the dreaded shutter at about 50 - 65 mph just about everyone else has had.

Got mine in Sept. Have 7,300 miles on it and no serious issues. I did coerce the dealership into doing a reflash and it helped the turbolag tighten up a bit. They think it didn't make a difference.

When I can get biodiesel it runs beautifully. I'm almost ready to start making my own in quantity.

I love having a 4X4 again (haven't had one for about 30 years :( ), and the KJ is a great offroader within its limitations. It's also a fine commuting vehicle when I can't get out into the woods.

14,800 miles as of today. I'll be adding 1,500 to that number this weekend as I am traveling to Florida. So far I've gotten a brake light switch replaced, and transmission shifter replaced, and computer reflashed all under warranty. And that's it. I LOVE this CRD. Just wish it was louder.

We're up to 37 active CRD owners/users here so hopefully this will show that this place is about the best support group there will be for CRD help and ideas.

This poll expires in 31 days so the data is an accurate snapshot in time and I plan to run it again in January 2007 to show how our owners and mileages have increased.

My experience thus far has been great. I qualify for a transmission oil return filter TSB but I have not done it since I still have no symptoms - i.e. delayed initial engagement on first start of the day, hard shifting, transmission studder. Just over 4k miles now and I plan to keep that updated in my signature. I convinced a close friend of mine to buy a brand new 2006 Sport CRD and he has a check engine light at only 456 miles on the ODO - hopefully just a loose turbo or EGR hose or something.

Keep your votes and experiences coming! 8)

D'oh! Sorry, I'm a little late on this poll.

Heading toward 9000, owned since Sept, 05 (20 miles on ODO [I put 10 of those on there]). CEL once @ 7000 after dealing with slow gear engagement on cold starts. Dealership replaced....can't remember part name right now....changed tranny fluid, problem and CEL gone. No problems since.

My brother has a Pat Blue CRD Limited and he has 6000+ miles on it with no problems to report. I'm still trying to get him LOST. I'll report any adventures and problems with his until then.

I LOVE the CRD KJ! This thing is a beast!
