I just made the transition myself, I like to call it an upgrade (left the quotes out this time). In my research on this thing I read a few posts on different forums that sounded like there were a lot of converts from VW TDI to Jeep CRD, how many more are out there? I know geordi is also one but I'm pretty sure he's not talking to me for a while, if ever... |

I'm a "convert" in the sense that I was going to buy a TDI, but then stumbled across a CRD at a good price and bought it. My interest in the TDI sold me on diesels, then my CRD made me a convert. What's up with you and geordi? |

Oh we had a lil keyboard spat about one of my posts, first one of my posts on the forum actually, not really worth rehashing. Interesting story about you ending up in a CRD. I just watched my golf drive away last night, a gentleman from Arizona flew up here and bought it, now he's driving back. Miss the mileage but am looking forward to getting off the road with the CRD. |

i AM a convert! Had a 2010 Audi A3 TDi with the DSG tranny. In stock form best I got was 58mpg on flat-ish freeway. Best road trip car ever and scooted up San Francisco's steep grades with ease. I'll take a TDi Touareg or Cayenne next please... but definitely keeping this CRD. It's a little beast. |
