For one i might let it slide is your still paying on it or if its your grandmas :)
For two, if you buy a jeep or lets say 4x4 and lift it to drive on the road, well thats sad and stop trying to make up for something else :ROTFL:

Plus have anyone ever heard of a paint job, touch up paint, waxes, etc..... :ROTFL:

I wax my jeep.... primarily so it doesn't make as loud of a scratching noise when the branches are hitting the side of it :SOMBRERO:

Yes it was in General, Basically if you want any vehicle to be perfect, dont drive it (even on the road) and put it in a bubble.

Here's my philosophy: I have a nice vehicle (04 Renegade) and a daily (Ranger). The Renegade gets driven approximately 2 times per week to keep the mileage down. The Ranger gets driven through trees and slings rocks . :)

Too nice to be wheeled? In some aspects of my mind yes.

I will take it mudding, through construction sites , and hit puddles all day long. But I'll be danged if you see it parked within 5 spaces of another vehicle in a parking lot. I have never taking it trail riding...yet. But if there were a 3 foot gap between tree branches, heck no. I don't drive it to school because 1. It's 36 miles round trip and 2. I park at a university parking garage.

I know it's not a $20,000 rig but It's my pride & joy. I put it to use, but don't abuse it. :2cents:

It's like this...you buy a $100 pair of shoes. Walk on the concrete, asphalt, and grass, but don't jump in the mud puddles.

If I spend $100 on dress shoes, I won't jump in any mud puddles while wearing them... however if I spend $100 on hunting boots, I will not shy away from a trail that has mud on it. My Jeep is made to hit the trails and look good doing it. It'll take a couple days before I wash my weekend's mud off. I'll wear that mud to work with the pride of a weekend spend having fun!

A jeep that doesn't get muddy from time to time is like a new toy that is never taken out of the box. It may hold a higher market resale value but have zero value in treasured memories.

This may be an old thread, but I just found it so here's my say.
I put no, Jeeps are meant to be wheeled, that being said I can understand if its brand new and you want to keep it somewhat pretty for awhile, but after a certain number of years it is expected to have some damage.
I say that, but every time I get back, I rush to try to wax out the pinstripes before my wife see them at their worst  . She doesn't exactly agree with me on my Jeep philosophy. It is less than a year old. So I can see why people with new jeeps are a little nervous. They may just fear their wife.LOL.
