My driver's side windshield wiper leaves a big un-cleared spot right in my line of sight. It gets worse @ highway speeds. I've tried every brand of blade including from the dealer.

Chrysler has released a new arm, # 05175407AA.
See how it works on the way home tonight

Good to hear. That must have been really irritating.

Is this a TSB? If so, what's the number?

Don't know of a TSB, just a part number change. I'm going to compare the new arm to one on a 2nd generation KJ - maybe they just replced the old with the new?

Thanks for the info. That's been a big problem for me, especially when I go skiing. The wiper doesn't clear the windshield adequately and the fluid freezes and blocks visibility.

You need to get some winter forumla wiper fluid that doesn't freeze.

I have had the same problem for 2 years now.

I have had the dealer replace the arm (twice) in that time. The new ones work great for about 6 months, then starts doing it again at speeds of 40mph+ and get worse with time.

While at the local truck stop I found "Wiper Snuggies" a slip on spring loaded tensioner for $4.99pair. I have had no problems since. They are black powder coated, just like the arm. Really don't even notice it is there (I only put one on the drivers side), but it works great. Even here in the Columbia River Gorge, with our monster rains and killer wind.

I put a set of Bosch mircro blades on last year, they work great! I also use the Rain-X windshield washer fluid! Joe
