Thanks tjkj2002, I have a 2003 so I'll have Advance check it out! Question, did you use your stock belt because there are different belts? What a night mare this deal is, geesh. Joe :?

It's not the stock belt, the dealer replaced the belt with the 2nd tensioner,so whatever belt they put on is the one I'm running now.

Okay, I think I have the same belt even with the third tensioner it's a new one. I'll get the new Dayco tensioner and let you know how it works! Thanks again, Joe

Post subject:  Dayco Tensioner Fiasco

Only this stuff happens to me! Went to Advance got the Dayco Belt Tensione, arrived home went to put it on it only had one pulley! Looked at box correct part number? Went back to advance they had to order, would be in next day. Picked up this morning, two pulley okay good to go. Remove belt, remove tensioner, new dayco tentioner has the back side pulley twice as large? Install anyway but now not enough room to get two widths of belts between. Go back to Advance get money back. Go to Jeep Dealer with tensiioner see service manager who exchanges bad tensioner for a new one, same factory number. Put tensioner on, which seems to have twice as much tension, install belt, good to go, no ratcheting noise!! Moral of the Story, I had a bad tensioner, and getting parts at parts stores is like pulling teeth.
Noise gone though so I'm a Happy Jeeper Again! Joe
