The valve design changed for 05 and later. The new design is prone to cylinder misfires. I'm having a valve job done under warranty where the original valves will replace the new ones. I'll post an update when it's done.

Use the link at the top of this thread to jump to the other thread on this topic. I posted some details on May 30th. No problems since the work was done.

same thing here. cylinder #5 misfire. going to have valves replaced on cylinder five next tuesday. they also said something about fixing valve locks on another cylinder. I only have 34K miles on it. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. ctr05kj, why is this the 3rd time--did they not diagnose the problem correctly the first two times? or have they already replaced the valves twice and you are still having issues?

Mine is in for the 3rd time right now for #3 cylinder misfire. they have claimed it was the plug, coil pack, put in a new fuel injector and now we are doing head and valve work, so we'll see what happens.

This forum is a great resource.

My 2006 had a check engine light come on, Cylinder #5 misfire.

I'll print out the TSB and keep it handy. Thanks,
