Post subject:  Daimler Chrysler Sweden - my experince must beat anything.

Bought a brand new Jeep Cherokee CRD Limited. After 5000 km the ABS brakes failed. Car taken care of by J"eep Privilege Service" and towed to an Auctorized Chrysler Jeep workshop. Some sort of softwareproblem.

After 8 weeks of reparation without no help at all - no car, no way of the selling organization Hedins Bil AB to take the broken car back.

I had to buy another, since it was to costly with a rented one. A Suzuki Grand Vitara CDI. After 8 weeks working on the CRD they couldn´t even say when my Jeep should be ready or if they ever would make it. After this they repaired the car for another 7 weeks.

That is 15 weeks at the workshop for my new car. With no help whatsoever. You know we don´t have a lemon law here in Sweden.
Now the CRD is working, but everytime I drive it I get mad, thinking of how this organization deals with their customers. I will have to let it go. Can´t stand this.

I will tell my story on Forums all over the world, and I have never read of something similar to this.
This story is well dokumented and if someone is interested I will let you know all details. If you privatly take contact with me.

If you can beat this story - let me know.

all the best

Wow...15weeks is pretty silly for a brake problem! but I am not suprised :(

Hey are those ASFIR skid plates you got there?
Can you get them back to Toledo?

Didn't even sound like a real brake problem - ABS computer - in 15 weeks - they could have rebuilt/replaced the entire vehicle.
Even if you don't use them - the Lemon laws have an impact.

I'd write this as a letter to your local politician - recommending a Lemon law - might get Chrysler's attention, at least it would make you feel better.

Free now. Yes I sold that awfull car. Have never had anything like this before.
Bad quality, bad inporter DC Sweden and awfull dealer A.Hedin Bil. 1/4 of a year at a DC workshop with our new car and no help at all. Just a lot of tricky and nonchalant treatment. Hade to buy a Suzuki GV to handle my family over this 1/4 of a year.

Never more anything to do with these companies. Not for me, my family, my company or my friends.
If you want the full tricky story of this you will have to contact me privatly, since we are not alowed to mention any private names here at this forum.

Bye, bye Chrysler / Jeep.

I would do the same thing. This is why American brands cannot stand the competition overseas, especially in Europe. Poor service.
They would pull the same crap here, only if we didn't have laws protecting consumers. With all the sh*t we've been hearing and experiencing from dealers here in the states, it is not a surprise what you had to go through.

I would leave the jeep and never look back.
Good luck with your new vehicle.
