Since you do not know have you had anyone else look at it to see if you have ABS or not? Have you tried contacting Jeep and getting the build slip to see if yours has ABS, I would of done the above if I didn't get the answer on here right away. One or the other would tell you since you don't know what to look for or how one reacts with ABS.
I agree to a point that not everyone should know how to tear a motor down and rebuild it but they should know what they bought and how it should react driving down the road.
Of course there are people like one Professor I know who had a Cherokee, loved it during the snowy season , bought another one for his wife from Car Maxx and couldn't fiqure out why it didn't go in the snow as well as his. Had me check it out to find out only to find out it was a 2 wheel Drive
