Best solution I found; Autozone has the complete regulator assembles with new motors for very reasonable price. And to top it off, a lifetime warranty. I have already used the warranty on my left rear window that I replaced last year after it started making a popping sound this year when it went fully closed. They asked no questions, just gave me a new one and asked me to bring them the defective regulator after I removed it.... :D
I have gotten quite good at replacing them; about 30 minutes start to finish.....it is not a real bad job in the scheme of things.... :SOMBRERO:

I am having a 10th window regulator replaced Thursday. So far all under warranty. This is absolutely ridiculous as I have had this passenger rear one done in July 2009, again in August 2009, and now June 2010. This is definitely not a resistance problem as I never use the rear windows; the glass just all of a sudden drops into the door.

I would like to hear from folks that have installed the Steiger metal parts to fix this and have some time on the windows. How are they holding up? Chrysler will never fix this properly and once I am out of warranty, I need a real fix short of blocking up the windows.

I have had the steiger fix installed in my rear driver side window on my 2005 sport for 4-5 years now and have NEVER had another problem on that window. I purchased 3 more for the other windows, just waiting to install them.

I used the steiger knock off from ebay on 3 out of 4 on mine. The other one is a steiger. No problems from either

Tackled my passenger front today.. really expecting to find a busted clip.. nope, snapped cable. Also admired the 3/4 inch pvc tube PO used to prop the window up. From reading in here.... I'll keep the tube handy for future use!

sooooo, are the ~ $50 regulators worth a dang? Dorman used to sell pretty good stuff, but is it all far east BS these days?

I went with the Steiger regulator kits two years ago after two window failures within one month. Never had a single problem since they were put in. Steiger customer service is great. I had a mixture of regulator kits in my Jeep and he was great at helping me sort the mess out so the correct kits were sent up to Canada.
