Anybody around here ever dealt with engine electrical system troubleshooting? Getting a professional mechanic involved is painfully expensive. My dealer service rep says I should sell it, but the odometer brand on my title KILLS the resale. I love it except when it acts up. Codes show irregular voltage to the computer.

Have him check it under full load (Everthing, rear defroster, brights, etc. ON) I would be it is your tensioner arm/ alternator clutch combo (the tensioner seems to knock out the alternator clutch). Good luck,

Fastenal is a great store. My only problem with them at least the ones by me, is ya have to buy in bulk and can't buy in just what ya need.
So the remote start stalled? :ROTFL:
Pay up your full coverage insurance, start hooking wires together until they glow, then slowly back away and grab some marshmallows :ROTFL:
I know I am such great help! No need to thank me. :pepper:
p.s.
skid plate really pressin on my ears now

oh that fuel tank skid will leave a nice indention. and i have never been in a fastenal so i have no idea if they will be that way. the remote start is all installed and the remote will work the lights and crap like that but wont start the engine. it has a self diagnostic thing and it says it wont start because of a brake control issue but when i put the test light on it everything lights up like it should. even got a new brake light switch box because we found out that my previous owner broke it and then instead of spending $12 fr a new one they super glued the old one back in

The only place you need them is one or two on the transfer case skid, where it fastens to the frame rail
Rest drill up through the cross member, bolt on and be done
You're making an easy job much harder than it has to be
Now whats the next excuse going to be ?

Well stay there for a while longer,
I'll send Daryl over with a drill to help ya
But I won't send a drill bit,
will send some washers for the bolts you don't have though
