my F****** clutch went out today. i went to put an application in at blockbuster and was on my way home. i stopped at a stop light. as i put the car in first, the pedal was vibrating. put it in neutral and put it back in 1st and started to go adn the car jerked. so hard that my seat belt caught me. the car was in 1st with out the clutch down and the car was on. a police officer was behind me and helped me get my jeep off the road. my friend josh towed me to midas where they will replace the clutch for me. chrysler want's $750 and they're on crack if they think I'm paying that. i have 61,772 miles on my jeep. anyone else that feels anything weird at all in their clutch stop driving and get it replaced ASAP.

someone tried to break in my house this morning. they kicked in the door. my mom woke me up and i grabbed a sword and ran down the stairs. they were already gone. they didnt take anything but our back door is broken where the bolt tore out the wood. the upside is they kicked the glass several times and it didnt break. police found no prints because of the rain and my beagle did nothing to help so we're out of luck. it's got to be because my jeep wasnt in the garage by the window.

On the clutch - it sounds like the linkage broke - normally when a clutch wears out - the engine rev's fast and the Jeep moves slower - the clutch slips and it's gradual not sudden. For it to die at a light - means something popped, which might be repairable by itself.

As to breakins - in Texas we prefer shotguns to swords - better range and the sound of chambering the shell gets attention - but you need a dog that barks and sounds big - beagles are just too friendly.

I'm glad no one was hurt - you can fix doors.

I'd recommend something a little less sharp.

Like a 12ga...Wanna buy a Remington 870? :D

it had been slipping for 2 days. i wasnt sure what was wrong. i went to chrysler today and they want $1126 to fix it. i'm getting it replaced at midas for $650. the stupid rain ment no fingerprints. we got a guy to come drill a 6.5 foot 2x4 to the door until tomorrow. we're getting another dog. my dog isnt defensive when he knows people are gone (my sisters at school). when i sneak out and come back in he growls and stuff. my mom wants an american bull dog like my aunt has.

ha ha. you might want to edit that video unless you like staring at the ground for most of the video. For editing video and adding music i like to use womble mpeg editor or dvd wizard. You can download a free demo that allows you to do everything. It just has a time trial. Download here http://www.womble.com/

i noticed you are using a flv file but could not post this message earlier as the forum would not let me. If you want to use womble you will need to convert it to mpeg first. Here is a flv to mpeg/avi converter. http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3

Master cylinders are easy to do yourself.

As for a dog, get one big dog and get it trained. A mean bred dog is not necessary. Any decent-sized dog that is trained well is a great defensive dog. Now if you really want warning (along with a lot of false alarms), you get a small yapper that isn't afraid of anything and have a big dog that comes in after the yapper to do the dirty work...
