Mozilla's sea monkey ??

That got me thinking and I did a search on Netscape. You can still get it but there is no longer any support for it.

Well, Safari locked up on me a couple of times and there was 1 other thing I didn't like about it so I deleted it. Now I'm using one called "Flock". It has some really nice features on it. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I make no claims to computer literacy, but I thought that Firefox started off being based off of Netscape's code. I have tried all the rest (including Google Chrome) and I just like Firefox better. The company has a couple of intranet sites that don't like it so I still keep IE installed on all my machines.

Thanks for posting that article. I'm using Opera now. I used it on my last computer too, but then when I got this one a couple months ago, I just used the IE.

Yes Firefox is based on the old Netscape. I had tried some of the newer versions of Netscape when Firefox was just coming out and found at that time that I liked the feel of FF better.

Just so you know Terry Flock is based on Firefox, but has some enhancements such as a built-in uploader for photobucket. Yeah let us know how you like it.

So far Flock is pretty good. FF is good, I tried it awhile back. There was something about it that I didn't care for and deleted it. I don't remember what it was though.

yeah IE has always been and seemingly will always be trash. FF3 gets about a 75%completion score on the Acid3 test, Safari nightly build gets about 82% and IE8 Beta gets 21% and obviously 7 is even worse. It doesn't support web standards very well and designers and developers like myself have always had to hack our code one way or another to get sites to display correctly.

Always did like Firefox myself. Never really used any other ones than IE and FF.
