My mom was driving the car yesterday, rolled the window down about halfway and found it wouldn't go back up.
The window switch for the passenger window works, but the drivers window is not responding... is the switch bad ?

2. bad contacts in the switch. some are servicable
3. bad motor
4. dirty track
5. bound up track...

Sounds like it.

I had the same problem on a 94 taruas, had to open up the drivers door, find the little one touch down box, and I by passed two different pins on the box, if I had been competent with a soldering iron I could have soldered the resistors that controlled the thing back onto the board.

You may have a similar problem.
