I am looking at buying a MIG welder, and I found a really good deal on a slightly used Lincoln Weld Pak 5000HD and I was wondering if anyone has one or has used one?

I am pretty sure they dont make this model any more and I dont want to buy it if I will have a hard time finding parts for it in case something breaks, will I have a hard time finding parts for it?

Its a 220v 175amp rated for 1/2" running flux core which is probably what I will run until I have enough money saved for the MIG conversion kit and a gas bottle.

Never used that particular model, mostly Miller stuff, but both Lincoln and Miller support their welders for a loooong time. Don't think getting parts should be an issue.

Yeah Im more of trying to decide whether or not I should go with a 220v Lincoln or a 110v Hobart, I dont have a 220v in my garage so I would have to weld in the backyard so I have access to a 220v whereas the 110v I will have way more portability and then I would just have to get the stick welder to do the thicker items.

I'd go with the 220v Linc,you could put a 220v recepticle in your garage and be a happier welder.
Would be nice to have both,but if you have to choose,go 220.
