First I lost my health insurance then optical and dental(that doesn't fly with kids at home), next I fear the shop might be going. I have worked at the same place for almost 14 years and it feels like home. I truly love my job(some of the people that work for me are another story), I run a heavy truck/trailer repair and welding fabrication shop. I also work closely with a major car hauler manufacture that uses me for modifcation and or warranty work for them, I love it when I can develop/modify something for them and they use it! It just sucks the thought of having to get another job and asap if the other shoe drops............
Any body know of any jobs out west like AZ that are decent with insurance or heck any where for that matter?!?!?!?!?!
Oh and if my boss (the owner) is reading this... I LOVE YOU MAN! :P

US Government. Awesome benefits and you have to really screw up to lose your job. Even if they phase your job position out, they have to find you an equally paying job but it could be somewhere else in the country. Job security and great benefits. Hard to pass up.

Thanks for the tip Tokyojoe 8) , I am all over that site! I would love a job with the forest service even though the pay isn't great but the scenery and just the pure pleasure of going to "work" would be pay enough! Of course I am keeping my options open to anything really 8)

Not sure how old you are or much else about you but here's another option because there are no jobs, west, south, east or north in this country.

None the less - good luck whatever happens or route you take.

Are you a vet? Did you retire? Not sure what "all the way" refers to?

I know a lot of people out west and they claim there are tens of thousands out of work and applying for every job that comes along. You might want to ask some of the "western" members what the job market is like in any specific area.

Hopefully you won't loose your current job, but best of luck if that happens.

There are lots of Jobs - but a friend who had a posting - literally had 400 resumes for a software job
so yes - there are jobs - and yes there's a lot of competition.

Indeed is a good search engine- but you need to get the Job title right

try variations on the name and see what it finds
