Leaving work friday and missed a turn so I decided to shot up a alley so I could get back where I wanted to be. So I see 2 potholes full of water and ice at the entrance of this alley and there is a traffice cone off to the side by the side walk so I didnt think anything of it. Holy crap both front tires dropped out of sight and I bottomed out on the skid plate :dizzy: bout knocked my teeth out  I had to put it in 4 wheel drive and had a heck of a time even getting out then  Man I just had the front end alingment done less than 300 miles ago, I sure hope it didnt knock it out :banghead: Drove fine the rest of the way home so I am keeping my fingers crossed :banghead: ! This was in down town columbus !! I expect that in powdunkville not a major city, Man was I pi**ed !!!

Thanks, Stan

We get the same thing down here in Loserville, err, I mean Cincinnati. You could lose a small car in some of them.
Hope you Libby is okay

Toledo does not have any potholes at all.
Of course since Jeeps are built here PLUS everyone and their Mother drives a Jeep they made all of the roads in the city an off road test track.
Works out well................. :ROTFL:

Isn't there a rule about driving into holes full of water...checking the depth first or something? Yes we have our potholes...be glad you didn't hit one of our freeway potholes. I was stuck in traffic last week due to a pothole eating a rice burner on the freeway.

When I was a kid, we had a portion of the road near my house wash out from underneath and swallow half of an unsuspecting (empty) school bus! :ROTFL:

thats nothing. I saw on I-94, some idiot in his escalade go through a underpass on the right lane full of water, little did he know that the water was so high it knocked over the construction cones and signs, he totally ate it in a new cut road, where it pretty much drops down a few feet.

Come to Dayton, Ohio and drive the Devil's Run. It is Forrer Blvd.. The City OF Kettering refuses to maintain it and just conitnuingly fills the pot holes. It is a great place to break in the suspension!
