As I was on my way home tonight, I stopped at a gas station to put some gas in the Jeep. Walking out from pre-paying for my gas I could see a KJ Limited (stock) w/ a mattress and box springs tied down on the roof; parked right behind my Jeep. Man, did that put a smile on my face! I pumped my gas and parked the jeep behind the pumps, near the highway. Had to go inside to decide if I wanted Wendy's; turns out I didn't and walked out  On the way out I asked the man who was in this vehicle moving group, "Why do you all have mattress tied down on your vehicles?"
He replied, "We're moving to Cinncinatti tonight." I told him they had a nice Liberty. One thing led to another and when it was all said and done; the man, his wife and I ended up having a 10+minute conversation about my Liberty, what they should do to HER Jeep and Jeep Liberties overall. Before buying the Liberty; she had a '79 CJ with 6" lift and 35" Super Swampers

That wasn't the best part. The best part was the woman completmenting on my KJ! HELLO! How many times does a woman Jeeper have another woman Jeeper come up to her and compliment on how AWESOME their KJ is? Not that often! The woman could not believe mine was lifted; and both of them were shocked to find out that you can take the doors of these KJs. They couldn't believe I had my KJ's doors off. She told me a little about her Jeep; but one thing blew me away. The woman went to explain she recently upgraded to a bigger tire size for her KJ. I did notice the tires on her KJ looked abit bigger. She said the shop told her the tire size she picked out would not rub. The shop lied. She told me they rubbed alot. Well with my "wealth of knowledge" I walked up to where her Jeep was to see what size her tires were. They were a 245/70/17   and she had the front wheels slightly at an angle; perfect for me to show her where to trim so the tires would quit rubbing. I also told them they could hammer down the pinch weld and trim the rear bumper some. Of course I showed them where to trim at. I'm telling you, those tires weren't turned at full lock and they rubbed pretty bad.

In my awesome Jeep conversation with the man and woman, I told them about LOST Jeeps Forum. I explained to them that LOST Jeeps has ALOT of good information on the KJ; and said they should check it out sometime. (I hope they do  ) I also told them were they were moving; there would be TONS and TONS of lifted Liberties within a good distance. One word of advice I gave her was buy OldManEmu when you go to lift the KJ; because the KJ she owned had 110,000 miles on it.

Driving home tonight I realized talking to them made me forget to get a picture of the KJ :banghead: Oh yeah, the husband said she parked behind my KJ cause it was lifted and LIKED IT SOOO MUCH!!! :pepper: I could tell more but I believe I've said enough already

GOOD NIGHT ALL
:CAMPING:

I'm running 245/70/17 on my jeep with the Old Man Emu lift and it rubbed until the trimmed everything down. The tire shop definitely lied! It's awesome getting complements on the liberty. Sounds like it was a good conversation with another owner that loves the liberty!
