Ok, I've been watching the news and they keep talking about the massive crowds at malls and people showing up to shop at 3 am. Personally, I'll stay home and go when I can actually get somewhere. Just curious if anyone on LOST was dedicated enough.

Didn't even go near a store - on purpose.

I start to think all those people have nothing better to do, or get paid to hype others up..
today I went to a few stores, most of them had almost no lines, maybe a few people.
Best time to shop is Weekdays, mid-day if possible or just before closing..

i went and checked out a new "mall" friday that was about 30 minutes away that just opened. it's so new, and we went early enough that it wasn't packed. the place is billed as a "lifestyle center" that's set up like a main street and they encourage you to bring your dogs and have water bowls but i don't know if dogs are allowed inside the stores.

i didn't really do any christmas shopping though. i bought hubby his Christmas present almost 2 months ago and already gave it to him because how do you hide a giant BBQ grill in its box?

I actually been at best buy since 8 pm. on thanksgiving. My answer to the poll is still heck no cause i usually wait for the last minute to those.

Shopped for myself after work on Friday. Got the PS2 at a great price and games are so much cheaper now. No goal or worry about them not making games anymore. There will always be really cheap used games down the road at stores.

My first video game system since Nintendo in 1989.

wow, i'm really in a minority on this one (27:1 at time of post). almost didn't go this year because of only a few good deals, but ended up with a pair of 1GB SD flash for $3. at 4am i was 400th in line at circuit city. when i left at 6am (doors opened at 5am), there had to be at least 250 more people in line just to get at what was left. most other stores weren't nearly as busy though, the electronics stores seem to always be like that on black friday though... (and no, i didn't have anything better to do, other than sleep)

I waited until 1:00 in the afternoon to go out. I picked up some stuff from Northern tool, Car Dollies, Tie Downs, Bungee Cords, Leather Gloves.

While I was driving home on Thanksgiving Night I saw about 25 people already in line at the local Best Buy. That just confirmed for me, no door buster shopping for me.

Not me. I was at work half of Friday. My wife went on a road-trip with friends to Tyson's Corner to shop away the weekend though. So most of our Christmas shopping is already done (I selected "Heck no" on the pole though). I stayed home and cleaned the house (and I may or may not have played a few hours of Madden 07).
