okay ... lets see about another monkey wrench.

How do you sell this to the big conferences who will have to realign and share power (and the almighty $$$) with the "lesser" conferences?

I would hate to lose some traditional match-ups by re-aliging conferences, but we gotta face that fact the major college football is semi-pro, anyway.

Conferences have changed over the years. Teams move here and there. If a team wants to switch to another conference, they must trade with another team. Rivalries don't have to end. Most of the conferences and stay alive and keep their major rivalries.

Can you believe Montana used to be in the "Pac-10" though it was a different conference name back then. University of Chicago used to be in the "Big Ten" and Ohio State is not an original member of that conference.
