Has anyone seen that Wendy's Meatatarian commercial? Personally, it cracks me up, but when I did a search to try to find the video online so I could send it to a friend who hadn't seen it, I found nothing but a whole bunch of people complaining about it and saying it was a horrible insult to vegetarians and should be removed from TV. Just curious what everyone else thought. |

As a sign I once saw said...All creatures have their place, next to the potatoes & vegetables. So does the Wendys ad mean we will see a beeratarian commercial during the Superbowl? Wendys did a great commercial tho. |

Oooh, Beeratarian...I like it!! For those that haven't seen it, a couple are sitting in a Wendy's with their own meals. The woman has a Wendy's salad and the guy has a Wendy's burger. The woman (wife, girlfriend, date, whatever) says to the guy something like, "Would you like some of my salad?" To this, the guy answers something like, "No thanks, I'm a meatatarian." He goes on to explain that he only eats meat and then bites into his sandwich which, if I recall correctly, is the Baconator. The Baconator is two 1/4 lb slabs of meat, separated by two slices of cheese, topped with 6 strips of bacon. No lettuce, no tomato, no etc., etc., etc. During his meatatarian explanation, he uses the phrase "It's a personal decision...you gotta commit to it." As soon as I find a link to the commercial, I'll post it here. I searched and didn't find anything, and even Wendy's webpage is not loading their "ads" section right now. |

Saw it, thought it was hilarious! A buddy and I have been using the 'meatatarian' label for quite some time now so I can agree completely with the guys outlook on life  I have no problem with vegetarians, that just means more meat for me

I saw it and thought it was funny as hell! I have veggie friends and none of them have said they think its offesive............................Hey if you can call yourself a vegitarian then why can't I call myself a meatatarian? And life goes on as the world turns............................. |
