After reading through some posts on "another " forum, thought it would be interesting to see what you have found out on trails that was ...well just strange.

Me, the strangest thing I think was one trip way back on some power lines 4 wheeling in West Virginia. Stopped to take a nature break and saw a full face motorcycle helmet laying off in the weeds, :? thought cool have to check it out, got closer and saw hair coming out of it, :o almost to scared in what we would find, finally got the nerve to look closer, see more hair, nose, ........yes it was a full head in there!!!!!!

Ended up being one of those heads that they display wigs on in stores inside the helmet, but the way it was laying, grass grown up etc, sure looked real for a while!!!
A mile later down the trail we ran into most of the cast of Deliverence, :o :? if it would of been the other way around.....we may not of stopped or looked at the helmet at all!

So what have you found that was just weird or ???????

Tom

haha, thats pretty freaky tom!

Never found much anything strange on a trail. Only thing Ive found was an old cab to a ford truck.

Last week we pulled our boat up on the shore and found an entire rear axle to a truck laying on the bank. Got to looking and there were parts of a frame and brakes laying around. Thing had to be there since the lake was made(1969) since the diff was almost eaten totally through.

Not a trail find, thank goodness, but I was in our local Canadian Tire store when one of the workers walked past with a really angry look on her face. It seems that a little boy really had to go, so he used one of the toilets in the plumbing display area. This was a sit down job, not a standing job. She had words with her manager when he told her to clean it up, she said she does not work in plumbing and he can clean it himself. She won.

A devil worshiper. Out in the pines. A long time ago, before the libby. A friend of mine had gotten a very used International Scout and we decided to beat the feces out of it in the Pines in the Tabernacle area. We came to a stop and traded places. I had just put my hands on the wheel when a guy (?) in a black robe with a hood jumped out of the woods and onto the hood of the Scout. He was holding a large knife in his right hand and grabbing the edge of the hood with his left. I floored it trying for 10 minutes to get him off, but he was determined to sacrifice us to ol' JD himself. Somehow i drove the scout into a cranberry bog, which shook him loose. I put it into reverse and got the heck outta there as fast as possible. We reported this to the State Police but no body was ever found.

i'll vouch for that. i've been tooling around the pines for several years and have come across some very...odd people. i've learned that just about anything can happen in the pines. the religous cults... well avoid them, there not to friendly. the rangers have even shut down some parts at night because of the drug dealings.

I wasn't sure how many of his friends might be nearby. my only thought was to save our skins.

Pretty sure it is 2 tires from the back of an ATV that took a wrong turn.
