LOST JEEPS :: View topic - IF you only could feel

Back when my dad was in the Navy, the Antarctic was where you were sent to await the processing of your dishonorable discharge papers. This was in the late 60's though. So........., what did you do to tick off the Military?

I am a weather forecaster for the U.S. Antartctic Program

You've got me doing research on how to get in on a 4-6 month stint working down there.

It's one of those destinations I want to reach in my lifetime - you've got a great opportunity there.

Most jobs are contracted through Ratheon Polar Services. They need every thing from waste technicians to carpenters to scientists etc....anything you can think of pretty much. Even laborers...look em up on the web if you are interested. Here is what happens to your eyelashes here..they get icey!
