I ran into a news story you might want to read: http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/111811

Exactly why I use Firefox! IE has too many holes and is way too embedded into the OS to be safe.

Heard about that last night on the news but since I haven't used Internet Exploiter in ages I wasn't concerned. I was a big Firefox fan until a couple of months ago when it started acting wonky after an upgrade so I've been using Opera and it seems to do good.

Using Firefox 3. IE sucks, never used it, never will. Especially a beta release. Not a big fan of Microsoft products. On my previous laptop used Ubuntu linux, very happy with it. But had to get a new one, Vista came preinstalled, don't like that btw, why don't they give you the chance to setup your partitions. So I though I might give Vista a should. Been happy with it, no major problems so far. Have Ubuntu installed on my moms laptop, much better OS.

Sorry for long rant.... :)

IMO - IE has always blown. Then again, aside from M$ Office for Mac ( you windows user's would freak if you experienced the bug-free version made for OS X) - everything M$ makes for the peecee blows.

oh yeah, FireFox for Mac works great for me. And the Harley-Davidson theme is really cool too.

This wasn't meant to be a Windows bashing thread. I just wanted people to know about this.

I havent used IE in quite a while.. I used Opera for a bit, but then switched to Firefox after hearing everyone praise it. I like it, but I wish it would stop crashing all of the time..

Which is why I went back to Opera, it seems to run better than FF. And since I just discovered a spell-check add-on for it I'm once again a happy camper 8)

I have been using Safari also. The only thing I found so far that I'm unhappy with is their automatic spell check. It doesn't do a very good job. Believe me, it gets used a lot!

MSN posted a link to a patch for IE just his morning, not sure it it will be a full-proof fix. I need to try another program myself, just lazy with MSN.

Wow, I'm real happy with the spell check in Safari, I wish that some of the other browsers had that feature. Of course I went to public school in Missouri so...

Firefox has a built-in spell check function, works while you type (Like MS Office). As I mentioned earlier Opera doesn't come standard with it but it is simple to install, then when you right-click it is available in the pop-up menu.

I'm using FF3 on Vista, no crashes. Plus it has inline spell check, so you don't have to press the spell check button for you lazy folks out there!! :D

I believe Opera 10 alpha has inline spell check as well.
