I was going to get into fly fishing, but off roading and school and new babies take up too much of my time already. Just no room to squeeze it in. I hardly get to spin fish as it is. ![]() |

Just got back into icefishing this last winter. My dad started back into it for the last few years. This is looking to be a pretty decent year. If the weather keeps cold. Why whats up? |

At one time, not so long ago I was into fly fishing. I've fished trout streams in Alaska, Montana, Wisconsin, Michigan and Northern California, but after experiencing salt water fly fishing, there is no substitute. Back in 2000, I hit a Grand Slam in the flats off the Bahama's. For those who ask what's a Grand Slam? - Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit, caught in one day. I did this on my second outing into salt water flats. Some people spend a lifetime without hitting a Grand Slam. Meanwhile, I haven't been fishing in two years now I guess. - I sure could use a trip to the warm waters somewhere in the Caribbean right about now. |

Fly fish and spinning reel....all over colorado from the san juan river at the bass of the lave navajo darn to wyoming and six-mile gap. Not so much worried about bears as i am about mountain lion encounters and rattle snakes! We were stalked by a mountain lion last fishing trip in wyoming. . .always comforting to see still bloody vertebrae on the trailhead on the way back to camp! |
