can a 5 gallon propane bottle, you know one for a BBQ, be laid down on it's side and still be used? I know fork lifts have them on their side but I don't know if they have different valves in them or not.

Don't think so, not sure, but I think that the propane is in a liquid state in the bottle. if it is on it's side, or inverted, and you open the valve, liquid is coming out instead of gas.

That's kind of what I was thinking.

Thanks.
