I was just browsing across the manufacturer sites companies that sell cars both here in the states and in the UK and I'm sad to say, the UK has a better selection. I'm not just talking about companies like Audi or BMW but ones like Ford and VW. The Ford Focus for example, here in the states the interior is a gray with the choice of a stone or black cloth and four different paint colors, your basic lost cost coupe. In the UK you can choose from 9 different colors and a mixture of 12 different interior color choices   WHY? Why should a car designed HERE have less options than the exported version?? Also their selection of cars is wildly different, they don't offer their trucks and SUVs in the UK to be fair but their selection of cars is far greater.

And then there are the diesels.... Companies like VW offer a whole range of different diesel engines in their cars while you can't buy any VW diesel here in the states. Iv read about these things getting something like 60MPG on average! that will kick a Prius all the way to the bank. With people becoming concerned about gas prices and car mileage, why aren't they selling those here??? Id gladly buy a New Golf Diesel over a Prius or any American economy coupe.

I'm sure the UK allows immigration....

You cannot buy a decent p.up in Britain. They suck.

If people were honest about VW's service records, including the diesels, you would not be so eager for one. Sure someone will post up " well mine blah blah blah..." but the info is out there if you want to look for it.

Yes, car companies are guilty of giving us what they think we should have, not what we want.

Does England even have a home produced & owned car company anymore?

Free-forming on a Saturday afternoon.....
