The hair must be it. I am only 35, but half bald already!

It is supposed to be -2 degrees in the morning when I head to the airport. BRRRRRRR!

the best way to warm up is to find a warm body and.......

... it was easy to spot the touritsts. They are the ones who are underdressed when the weather turns.

Why do you think there are so many people born in September and October?

I remember August in Phoenix once too... when 116 was the daytime low... :shock:

Maybe y'all should come down to TX in August sometime .

I know the heat in Texas. I did the Hotter N Hell Hundred bike ride in Wichita Falls in late August. 100 mile bike ride with temps at 108 degrees.

But it's a DRY heat. :shock:

You always hear that, but all I can think is "Well, my oven is a dry heat, but I don't wanna crawl in it...."

haha one of my real good friends is only 26 now and is is balding pretty good up top.

Don't laugh at me. I have lived my whole life in Texas. But every January I come to Boston on business for a week. This week has been COLD! How do you people up north get used to this stuff? These single digits and teens are getting to me. I am glad I am going back to Dallas tomorrow where it's gonna be in the 60's this weekend.

Man, what 'til you go somewhere where it gets cold.... We are about -4 now, should bottom out at about -12, windchill -35 or so. But that isn't cold compared to the real cold plains states. Didn't Bismarck hit -40 or so last might? ANd that is at a very low elevation.

High was 17 that week.

Maybe y'all should come down to TX in August sometime and thaw out in 110+ temps. You would probably fry. That is just normal to me though. Reminds me of good story though. A few years ago I was here in Boston during August. Got done with work early and went to a mall to aimlessly wander for a while. As I was leaving the mall, I was walking behind a couple and overheard their conversation. The woman said to her husband, "This heat is about to kill me. I will be glad when it cools down." I actually laughed out load. It was a whopping 85-ish outside and I was enjoying how cool it was compared to home. I know it is just what you are accustomed to, but I find it humorous. I even laugh at myself knowing how goofy I look freezing my _____ off just running to the car. And I see the locals out taking a casual stroll with the dog like it is a clear spring day.

Humidity makes a huge difference. Grew up in Ohio, spent basic training in Great Lakes, IL with -20 degree temps. Spent two years in TX. Now in wonderful Colorado. Humid winters and cloudy days in Ohio at 20 degrees is sooo much colder than 20 degrees with full sunny skies in Colorado and very low humidity. I know the heat in Texas. WE get the best of both worlds here in kansas 4 degrees to night but in july it will be 105. It was cold today the job I'm working on has no heat and no windows yet. When you get home you just want to curl up with a blanket on get on lost.

I would much rather suffer thru a day of 115 F at 10% humidity than one of 105 F at 60-70% humidity. Ha, yeah I had a supervisor back many years ago who was around 25-26 years old and he looked like Patrick Stewart. Of course I can't say much myself since mine has been going away for the past fifteen years....

The humidity here regularly reaches the 80% range in the summer... There are many places that, like here, will have over 100 degrees difference between their hottest high temp. & lowest low temp. in a years time. Luckily we only tickle 100 a couple of times a summer. But 115 is 115...and that just sounds unbearable. Right now it is -12 with a windchill of -35. I don't want to go out & start the Jeep to go home. Does anyone want to warm it up for me while I sit here in the warmth? Didn't think so. Sigh.

Well, it was -9 this morning when I got in the Trailblazer to head to the airport. I will be glad to get back home to warm weather and my KJ by noon. So I guess I will stop whining now.
