I got a call from my mom today while I was at work, HHGREGG came to house with her new washing machine. They were susposed to disconnect the dryer and move it out of the way slide out the old washer, install the new one and reconnect the (gas) dryer. The guys that delivered it looked at my mom and said we don't do that and left. So now she has a new washer sitting in the middle of her basement floor. I was with her when she bought it and I told the salesman what needed to be done and he said "don't worry we do that all the time." I wasn't able to call them but you can bet I'm going to tomorrow, she called HHGREGG and they told her for another 100.00 we'll come back and take care of it. 1) if it was going to cost more for them to do this they should have said so up front, 2) 100.00 to disconnect a dyrer and move in a new washer and reconnect the dyer COME ON. All I can say is I'm pissed, and I'll never go to an HHGREGG again.

100 bucks! If you've got a couple big crescent wrenches, do it yourself. If not go to Sears and buy them for less than $100 and do it yourself. Then you'll have the tools for other projects later.

didnt need any wrenches when i put my friends washer/dryer in, needed a few screw drivers, all the conduit nuts had big thingys on them so you could just use your hand

never screwed around with a gas drier though, that could be fun :D

Is it leaking?
-I don't know
How will we know?
-He he he...

I stopped over her house before work, it took me about 40 min to hook up the washer. The gas line on the dryer was long enough that it didn't need to be disconnected. I then called hhgregg and told them to forget it. Also told them I would never buy anything from them again. Then I called rumpke the garbage people, their going to pick up the old washer on monday. :D
