Thanks, both of you! This is the cool thing about digital cameras. When I was shooting film, I'd have maybe taken two shots in that Ferris wheel and gambled that one of them would turn out even halfway decent. Instant confirmation of the results is just so nice.

And KeswickDave, love those fall colors!

Thanks jeepskate! And I agree - I've been taking pictures since I was 5 years old (41 now), but the move to digital was soooo liberating!

This bridge is on my way home from work in downtown L.A. I've always wanted to shoot some pics there. Not the kind of neighborhood you want to set up a tripod in, so all hand-held:

Nice. The first one made me think of RoboCop, even though it takes place in "Detroit".

The second, Lethal Weapon 2, when they take out the South African dudes. "Has just been revoked. . . "

The third, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

Don't ask me why, that's just what came to mind when I looked at each one.
