Getting an iPhone - White or Black?

Went with the black 3Gs 16GB and a black Otter Box. Very impressed so far. Hooking it up to my Mac tonight to see the seamlessness of that combo.

can't be a 4G, at least not unless AT&T has done something I don't know about. 4G refers to the bandwidth available on the data network, which AT&T doesn't have and only Sprint has in limited areas.

Wonder if the new iPhone will be able to play/ project HD video? That would be neat.

Probably meant 4g as in 4th gen.

I've played with a droid... No thanks. iPhone UI is much much better in my opinion.

To get a droid, one would have to be on the Verizon network - which has sorry coverage in my area. No thanks.

I like the iPhone UI as well, very intuitive. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to minimize apps and come back to them - like the dock on my Mac. I always have multiple applications open when I am on a computer, and it is an adjustment to not be able to do that with the iPhone.

OS 4.0 (which will be released in June) will allow multitasking (running multiple apps). Running 4.0 beta on mine right now and love it.

I wish I could get an iPhone but until they are supported by something other than the lousy AT&T network it isn't an option for me. I can really relate to the Verizon commercials about the minimal AT&T coverage map. I used to have a phone on the AT&T network but when I moved to my current house, I had to go outside and stand in the front yard to use it. :banghead:

The coverage is so marginal at my house, it won't work indoors (and no it wasn't the phone itself, several different AT&T phones from different manufacturers all had the same problem here). Apparently AT&T has spent all of their money covering urban areas and they don't care much about rural areas. Both Sprint and Verizon have strong coverage where I live.

I like how the Verizon commercials talk about AT&T's poor "3G coverage" and the AT&T commercials that are supposed to counter the Verizon commercials only talk about "coverage" and not "3G coverage." Really deceptive and obviously trying to cover up the fact that their network is clearly and profoundly inferior to their competition. It's hard to understand why Apple went with them. If you live in a city, AT&T is probably fine as long as you don't stray to far.

Just my :2cents:

By the way, I voted for black.
