They were about 150 yards out, water was about knee high. They stopped and when tryin to take off again buried there rigs in soft sand. Both ended up bumpers underwater. Unfortunately, only one of them was able to be recovered. The one recovered is not in good condition. The pic kind of explain how my day was. Sure glad I told em I would stay on ground in case we needed a ride home. I only went in to hook up straps (they spent $200 at wal mart today) and made sure I had my winch line in front of me.

Nothing like a good soak in salt water! Did they go out at low tide?

Yea it was salt water and thats why I didnt go in it. When I did go out it was not up half way to my tires. Yes, my Jeep got a super thorough washing afterward.

Terry, they went out there while it was still low and was on the rise the entire time we were out there. If you remember going back to the beach point on Eglin reserve on past trail rides it was all the way back there.

still sitting there. he has tall skinny tires so theyre not that great in sand plus when he started to get stuck he made it way worse. we kept breaking straps and it wasnt even budging. it got dark and you are not suppose to be out there two hours after sunset. today is christmas and the kids dads bday is tomorrow so who knows when its gonna get out. i already made it clear i was not putting my jeep back in that water. my buddy, although had a retarded moment, was smart enough to stop once he realized he was stuck, so his was easier to get out. his is still sitting on the trail however and its gonna be fun getting it off today after the day settles. hopefully it stops raining.
