Heard on the news this morning that fuel prices are projected to rise in 2011, or as the anchor stated "Fuel prices will be getting expensive once more..."

When did gas ever get cheap?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40755197/ns ... nd_economy

Tomato, Tomatoe.

I commute almost 100 miles round trip daily and I figure "If you wanna play, you gotta pay"

I hate it how most people act concerned with their MPG's then do 85mph in a 65mph in their H2 Hummer on 26" rims. But that's another thread.

Just figured i'd share.

Who cares, your going to pay it or not and the majority is just going to pay it and complain, well complaining will never do anything for gas prices.

SO what "crisis" is jacking up the prices of a resource we already have too much of?

I’ve heard prices are predicted to hit as high as $5.00 per gallon by 2012, but who knows for sure………… We cut our driving back by 30% saving approximately $105 per month. Although, I’m taking the money that we’re saving and buying Jeep/Dodge parts.

On a more serious note, if the fuel prices go high and stay high, then I’ll have to change my budget to reflect the cost. We typically average $300 - $350 per month for gas/diesel. I’ll cut back on my driving before averaging $500 + per month.

Right now, if I put $10 in my Jeep while it's on 1/4 a tank, it goes up to 1/2 a tank. Which last me not long. That is at $3 something a gal. as well. When gas was below $3, like $2.70's I could put $10 in my Jeep on 1/4 and it would put it well over half tank. If gas goes to $5 a gal. in 2012, that means three things: #1 I'll just be paying a little more to get my half gal. #2 I'll be sitting at home a lot more. #3 No more Jeep trips/mods. I only put $10 in my Jeep at a time. Gas has went down 14 cents in the past week and half. It is now $3.02 for regular unleaded where I live. If gas goes to $5 a gal., it won't stop me from getting places. I never fill up my Jeep, unless I'm driving somewhere far such as 100+ miles.
