My Dodge and Jeep Review

First, I want to say that I was a diehard Chevy guy up until I was 30 years old. Besides getting married, I’m not sure what happened.   Anyway, I switched over to Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products and never looked back. We bought our first new Jeep Wrangler LJ in 2005. One year later we traded it for a new 2006 Dodge Cummins. During that time, we traded our 1993 GMC truck and 1995 Chevy Tahoe for a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD. We had the CRD for a few months and traded for a new 2007 Jeep Liberty KJ. Anyway, I’m 35 now and have no desire to buy anything else. Here are my personal reviews and experiences with Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products.

We took our 5 year old Truck into the dealership for a free 70,000 mile inspection. I have the original batteries, brakes, wheel bearings, ball joints, drive belt, etc. This truck has been absolutely flawless. The service guy came out to say that everything looks good and there’s no need for any maintenance. I average 22 mpg in this truck and absolutely love it! Conclusion: I’ll buy another Dodge again! 8)

Our 4 year old Jeep Liberty only has 28,000 miles, but she’s been a good Jeep. The only flaw was the window regulators which Jeep has now covered under an extended warranty. Other than that, the Jeep has been excellent with no problems. Conclusion: I’ll buy another Jeep again! 8)

Overall, we’ve been extremely happy with our Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep products. I know a lot of people bash on them, but from my experience, they seem to be holding up just as good, if not better than Fords, Chevy’s, Toyotas that are comparable to build, size, and model.

Some people can break an anvil made from nodular iron, wrought iron, or cast steel.
The CRD had some Bean Counter Engineering and EPA regulations that created some problems, the gassers did not have, undo the wrong, and you have a good Jeep. That is what I did to mine.

This same thing is happening a lot at work lately. I work for Chrysler, and a bunch of newbies got hired, and they were surprised that I was already a Jeep guy. Most of them are GM people.

.... those GM vehicles are slowly but surely getting traded in on Chryslers, people are getting excited, and wondering why everyone hates them so much?

The A604 and 2.7L (Chrysler's huge mistakes) are both old news now. Not much to hate about Chrysler now.

I've alway's been a Mopar guy too, but drifted away into Fords and GM's for awhile. Everyone around me all decided at once thanks to GM producs from late nineties, early 00's having too many problems that we were all going to Mopar. A good place to see reliability issues is on MSN autos. You can look up vehicles from every year and see common problems. That's how I decided on the Liberty actually. It's also where I was forewarned about every problem that arose in my Jimmy for the two years I had it!

Meh.... I've always been a Toyota guy since I worked for them back in the day. The Jeep I own now I got because JL Audio wouldn't buy me a Toyota... When it's time for the Jeep to go, I will most-likely go back to Toyota.

I will admit that the Jeep did a good job changing my attitude towards domestic vehicles... I no longer think that they're total shyte.
