I won this off Ebay this afternoon, so it should be here next week!

I posted on facebook that I bought another jeep today and my dad almost had a heart attack  :-)r

Also, I plan on peeling the stickers, removing the huge bumpers, and repainting it to look just like my old KJ, we will see for sure once I get it... :juggle: 8)

Nice. I remember seeing these once at, I believe, Toys R Us several years back. Kicked myself for not getting it. I definitely would have painted to match.

I too agree that the MFG had the right Idea.

Happy wheeling.

Also, it didn't come with any controller, but there's a sticker that says 49 MHz on it. Now on the KJ, there is no selector for individual bands like 1-2-3-4 etc., but I had some other 49 MHz controllers laying around that did have those selectors, so I tried each spot, and none of them worked :banghead:

So I am guessing I need a basic 49 MHz controller with no options for individual bands then?

Anyone who knows RC's have any insight to this?

I already tested it with a volt meter and the board is getting power from the battery

Thanks!!

post length and width of the body also. I'll remeasure mine to see if its about the same or not. Mine had a big old bumper on the front as well that I cut off first thing

I believe that its 16"x9" total including the bumpers, that's what the ad said anyways, I'll try to measure tomorrow. When cleaning it, I also took off and left off the front bumper... and the semi truck gas tanks :P

I bought mine at a flea market painted it to match and relocated the antenna from the hood to the back by the spare where my CB antenna is to add even more detail. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed messing around with the one I bought. I have since removed the front bumper as well

That looks awesome!! It looks like yours is the exact same as mine except for the renegade factors on mine. Do you remember which brand of paint you used?

As for progress on mine today.... I had it 90% done, and before adding some stickers to make Jeep and Liberty emblems, and a few misc stickers, I decided to spray a coat of clear gloss paint to seal everything. Well I went to check on it 10 mins later and it completely destroyed the paint job! :banghead: :furious:

So next weekend I get to start all over. Ill strip it all down and start from scratch :dizzy:

The Red I used is Krylon Fusion for plastics, and the grey is a High temp paint I had sitting around from painting a friends calipers. It worked out because the grey turned out with a satin finish. Maybe you waited too long/ not enough time between re coats when you applied the clear. I know most cans now say within about an hour or after three days or something like that. I have had that happen to me before for sure. Hope it turns out for ya! 8)

Ahh yes, that would probably be my problem, I think I put it on after 2 hours or so, but right now, i have it soaking in paint thinner, and tomorrow, ill scrub it clean, for a fresh start

I finally found a solution to the paint! last night, I did diggerize it!

And today, I will paint some green over the bedliner, so it wont look exactly like my jeep, but still pretty awesome!

Pics should hopefully be up tonight :D
