I know this is totally WAY off topic, but I remember seeing somewhere on here that someone else was starting this process too, but I passed my first of seven architectural registration exams. I'm one step closer to becoming an architect! For those that really care, I passed the Site Planning and Design exam.

That's awesome Bro!
I hope you've got some on the job experience because you architects think you can just draw up anything and we can just "Make it happen". :banghead:

vent over. congrats.

Absolutely I do!

In fact, I worked as a concrete laborer a summer in college, then worked for my cousin as a carpenter for 2 years in college, then I've worked in a firm that does Planning, Architecture, & Construction Management for the last 7 years.

I'm pretty grounded compared to many :)

Thanks and no problem venting, I'm used to it from our Project Managers & Project Super's!

Congrats on passing the first test and good luck on the other six!

I understand what KJ 119 is saying I worked for 14+ years on the blueprint side and now for the last 21 years drawing up the blueprints. It's best if the person(s) making up the drawings has experience on the 'working' side of them first! I'm a designer for a Civil Engineering firm and work WITH the contractors to do my best to put out workable drawings.
