If your doctor wants to put you on a Statin, I would be very cautious. I went on a Statin 6 months ago, at my 3 month blood work and evaluation with my doctor, I was very happy that my cholesterol levels were surprisingly low. 3 months later when the snow melted, it was time for mountain biking, I found my self winding easily, and my legs would tire very easy and hurt for some reason? So after riding bicycles most of my life with no problem, I put 2 and 2 together and did a little research on Statin side affects. It seems they eat up your skeletal muscles, plus can cause all kinds of other problems, some people never recover from this, I wish I had know this 6 months ago? I have stopped taking them in hopes the affects will reverse themselves. I also noticed my well formed rock hard leg muscles are not there any more? So like most prescription drugs, the side affects are usually worse then the cure. I am only posting this as a warning because it may be too late to find out later like I did and millions of others.
