Here's where my interest and $$$ have been going to instead of the offroading beast KJ.
I joined a racing team and have lost 21 lbs since February 1st. I have been racing in the old geezer category (Age 45+ category 4 - for anyone without the knowledge, that would be Age 45 and older with cat 4 the lowest category = beginners) and building up my experience and learning a lot. My goal is to build for next year. This year is all about getting my body back into racing condition, learning, and gaining experience.
Here's one of my bikes. The custom built frame is built in Indiana and is very popular in the racing circuits around the Great Lakes states. The custom built wheels are built by a one-man business in Chicago. He has a racing team the Great lakes area. One of his young proteges moved here and started a team here and is the team I am on.
PSIMET/Zilla is our team name.
SRAM Force complete component setup. 50mm Rear carbon wheel has the Powertap Power measuring system installed.
My other road bike is a Cannondale Synapse 4 with an upgrade of components to Shimano Dura Ace (w/ compact cranks). This is my mountain climbing bike while the Aerocat is my Criterium/Time Trial/and flat/rolling hills Road racing bike.

The two bikes combined are worth more than my KJ. Ouch!
