The Jeep Comando looks interesting. Won't keep my hopes up for anything to actually come to US market.

Heard (heh) it looks just like the old Grand Waggy except no woodgrain.

We don’t know what it’s going to look like. Those pictures are just speculation. If you look at enough websites you’ll see several different drawings, but nothing is confirmed. We do know that the Grand Wagoneer is going to cater to the wealthy and be built from the Durango/Cherokee platform.

Great, another $60K+ Jeep SUV :ALONE:

I know that Chrysler is trying to move ahead but maybe Chrysler should wait and build a stronger customer base BEFORE charging high sticker prices on their trucks.

Jeep already has a good customer base. As a matter of fact, the Jeep brand is one of Chrysler’s strongest divisions; however, Jeep doesn’t have anything that competes with higher end SUV’s such as the Lexus.

Jeep brand maybe the strongest division but how is Chrysler when placed with other car manufacturers?

Chrysler need to worry about being stronger in the market, not worry about the big boys like Lexus.

Yeah, but it’s the big boys who are buying expensive vehicles in this weak economy. And the best selling vehicles for Chryslers are the most expensive.

“Ram Heavy Duty Truck sales were up 149 percent in December versus the same month last year”

“Sales of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the brand’s volume leader, increased 211 percent in December versus a year ago.”

I want that Commando, but it will not be sold here and it will be beyond my price range. I wonder if you can get it brought over.....or just fully retire and move to Europe and get one.

Well, that's a trick question. It depends on what data you are looking at. They are the third largest automaker in the United States and Canada. And now that they have joined Fiat, they are in the top 10 auto manufactures in the world. In the United States, "Chrysler Group LLC Reports July 2011 U.S. Sales Increased 20 Percent; Best July Sales Since 2007."

The same people that are buying expensive vehicles are the same people that expect better craftsmanship than what Chrysler has going on. Heavy Duty truck sales isn't going to be the base of Chrysler. Also, the old Grand Cherokee was getting boring and stale, of course when a new model rolls out sales are going to increase. Lets see if those same people are going to come back to Chrysler in 2-4 years.

Who is we? :P

I work at the plant that assembles them. ;)

Now if this person is right.... well.... that's another thing. I hope they are. I believe the vehicle is somewhere inside the plant, things have been really, REALLY quiet lately. I do know this though, it IS coming!
