So went out on opening day gun season for deer this morning, got out there with plenty of time to spare, only to find 2 others in my immediate area. No big deal, figured they get the hint when i got to my ladder stand, only to find one of the setting up 2 trees over from where my ladder stand was...was being the key word as some @$s decided to steal it. Asked the 2 guys if they had scouted the area out prior and neither had, so i told them what i knew about the area and told them about my stand. Game warden was no help as " too many people" had been in that area in the past 5-9 days when i orignially put up the stand...

Had that happen to me a few years ago during gun season.

I have a couple of places I've hunted for years that are on public land.
My ground blind has been in the same place since the mid-70's.

One morning, well after daylight, I heard allot of brush cracking from behind me......
....and here comes a couple of novice hunters chatting it up.... they even waved as they passed
about 40 feet from my blind. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

They went about 30 yards down the trail, and one of them decides to have a seat at the base
of a birch tree....... still within sight of my blind. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The second went about 15 or 20 yards to his left, and parked himself under an oak tree....... then
promptly lit a smoke. :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

Since my mornings hunt was already completely ruined, I decided I might as well have some fun.....

So-o-o-o-o-o....... I took the safety off my trusty 30-30 Marlin....... cocked the hammer back, and touched off a round into the oak tree about ten feet to my left. :jester:

I quickly commented out loud, " Dammit!!! I wish this stupid thing would stop doing that!!" :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

Needless to say....... my two "friends" promptly decided to go hunt somewhere else..... :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

i went out opening day of pheasant season yesterday withmy friend bill and my son , his first ever trip.... and 10 mins into the hunt my bird dog flushed a nice rooster, i hit it on the first shot see it drop. and then my buddy yells its running..... into the woods it went. WTF... :banghead: so walking in the woods looking for it some ignorant booty sees it on the ground shoots it and puts it in his bag.

When I lived in PA I had 25 acres, mostly wooded. One day a few days before deer season I was walking in my woods and someone had put a tree stand up. That kinda upset me some. I didn't mind people hunting my land without asking (they are supposed to) but when they set up house without so much as a thank you I get upset. So I took it down and took it home! I went back and left a note: "Next time ask before putting up, and leaving, a tree stand". Never heard a word.

Down home we have a lot of city folk who buy 5 acres of vacation land and then think everyone elses farm is open range. So I a get a lot of "squatters" all of the time coming onto my land without asking and its even posted ! Nailing crap onto my trees really ticks me off, most times I tear it down and have a nice fire out of it or some metal for the junk dealer :ROTFL:
What gets me most is them being too lazy to walk in so they cut fences and ride 4 wheelers in, of course finding two one year and dragging them out of the woods and up about two miles of gravel roads on their sides sort of ended that :pepper:
Come on my land and I shoot first
