Okay..... so, gas prices have been a little funky for awhile, but the past week has been beyond crazy.

Last Tuesday...... filled up after work. Gas went from $3.39 to $3.42. I usually wait til the end of the week,
but filled up anyway.

Wednesday morning. Went by the same gas station, and gas is now $3.69!!!!

Yesterday morning. Gas dropped slightly to $3.65.
Yesterday afternoon. Gas is now $3.89!!! :furious: :furious: For 87 octane!!!!

I know there are places where it's higher, but an almost 50 cent jump in a week!!!
C'mon........ when is enough gonna be enough.

Oil companies already make BILLIONS in net profits annually....... When does the greed stop???

In the last two weeks it has been 3.19 to 3.39, 3.49 3.69 and tonight 3.79
Now 60 cents a gallon in two weeks time is just enough to :furious: :furious:

There was a fire at the refinery in Blaine, WA that has it shutdown for several weeks. I'm sure that it is the perfect excuse for the oil companies to raise prices all over North America. It's well over $5.00 a US gallon up here.

Average gas prices--January 19, 2009 was $1.85

Average gas prices--January 17, 2012 was $3.19

Average gas prices--February 27, 2012 = $3.72

How's that Hope & Change working out for everyone?

Yep, sucks!!! I hear $5 by July. Sad part is since we've had a warm summer, there are excess supplies of fuel oil and other fuels so the oil companies are selling excesses to China....and we are still getting gouged at the pump.
Democrats won't do anything trying to get us to go green. Republicans won't do anything as they support the profits oil companies are making....we are all screwed!!!
I need to rebuild the motor in my Tahoe...going to be hard to justify doing it since I won't be able to afford to drive it :cry: :cry: :banghead: :banghead: :dizzy:

Gas companies don't need an excuse to raise prices, and most raise prices just because they can, also the profits you mentioned, if I am not mistaken, are quarterly, not annually. :furious: :banghead: :JEEPIN:

We're paying £1.43 per litre for diesel where I live. About 2/3-3/4 of the price is tax.

I firmly believe that the oil companies are gouging to pressure Obama into a pipeline project without all the environmental concerns covered. And he should not cave in until they are covered, considering the pipeline is to be routed over a major aquifer that supplies drinking water to hundreds of thousands of homes . A spill would be terrible, and near impossible to clean up. F... those greedy S.O.B's. :furious: Oil execs will not build new refineries in this country either. This makes it so much easier to manipulate the price. Maybe Obama should suggest building government run refineries. :shock: I wonder how that would go over in the oil company board rooms. I am no socialist, however, this is not capitalism when you are controlling/ manipulating the prices. Anybody else wonder how the price of gas stayed constant or a slight drop during that huge Gulf Oil Spill? Or just me? :?

Gas is still $3.05 here :BANANA: :BANANA: :BANANA: ,has been for over a month.

Well I have to pay $3.35 per gallon,can't use regular or mid grade here.

Unfortunately, around here I'd have to make a special trip to one of the six or so
that sell LP or Natural Gas. The closest one being a 40+ mile round trip.... hardly seems worth it.

Jeep gets parked as soon as prices go much above $4.25 for me, and it only comes out when I need to Move Heavy Things. i'll drive my 26mpg car, ride my 55mpg motorcycle, or pedal one of my bicycles if it's close enough.

On a good note I seem to lose quite a bit of mass from my person when gas prices go north of $5/gallon. :ROTFL:

Here in Orlando, fl it's gone from $3.29 from feb 1st to just paid $3.77 tonight. Barely got over a 1/4 tank from just having my light come on before I stopped.... 45min one way trip to work is killing me....

To save gas, I sit at home more and only drive when I need to. I'm leaving for London, UK in a few hours where a gallon of gas there is $8 to us in the USA (roughly). I'm content with my $3.75/gal

Don't complain about your fuelprices. In Sweden one liter of 95 Oktane fuel (regular) costs 2,5 USD. Wich is about 9,25 USD/Gallon.
